Short and sweet background:

I have won the war against the Rats here at Casa de Osip. The Gopher rats have decided to die under the house in an inaccesable place. Now there is the faint smell of putrifying Gopher rats.

What is the best method of getting the smell to go away?

I can’t get to the bodies to toss them in the neighbours yard. I could mask the smell with various substances. I could just let time take it’s toll and wait till the bodies do their things and quit smelling.

I am looking for a much faster solution than waiting it out.
Any and all help is appreciated.

is the rat grave totally inaccessable? could you somehow get some quicklime down in that mofo? that would help a lot.

I think time and various masking aromatic substances are your only recourse. Had a squirrel die in an inaccessible attic once. Took about three weeks to get unnoticeable.
