Govenor Scott Walker (R) WI

Let me guess… You want to go back on the gold standard too, right?

Teachers in my district are forbidden from taking their work home with them by their union. When the bell rings they are in the parking before the students. They are forbidden by their union from working during their lunch. They are required to be given one hour during the school day to do non-classwork. Any work that doesn’t get done while they are on the clock doesn’t get done.

They actually only work six and a half hours a day.

It’s the best paying part-time job in the world.

Our economy is larger than all of the gold in the world (thanks to inflation). To go to a monetary system which is rooted in a tangible after decades of living in la la land would be catastrophic.

And it’s all shown in your clearly lousy education.

If you believe this actually happens, not to mention all the out-of-pocket classroom expenses they have to provide, then you truly are a credulous idiot. No school district could effectively run that way while providing anything beyond the lowest possible level of education for their students.

Let’s parse this, shall we? Your first sentence is a lie. The second is uninformed hyperbole. The third is another lie. The fourth is a mis-statement, designed to mislead. The fifth is a lie. As is the sixth. As is the seventh.

You are an idiot.
(High-fives Wash, who ninja’d me while I was typing.)

Yeah… No shit.

Now.. A few of my friends are teachers and you’re right. The ones that care actually do take their work home with them. Against the orders of the union.

Prove it.

You are an idiot.

My post is my cite.

Yes. It’s embarrassing to explain this to someone who is (I assume) a capitalist, but when I hand you MY money after we agree to the transaction, it’s YOUR money.

There’s no magic money that lets you trace “your taxpayer dollars” through the economy to make sure they don’t participate in anything you object to.

You are an idiot.
(oh, and banning collective bargaining by public employees is against the public interest. )

Trot out the contract, numbnuts. You are the one making unsubstantiated statements. Show in their contract where the union forbids any of the things you say they do.

The idiot part stands as obvious to everyone.

No, once it’s OUT of the public coffers it’s none of your business. Here’s how it works- you go to a store, you shell out $5 for “Reading for Dummies”. That WAS your $5. NOW it belongs to the store. From that point on, you don’t have shit to say about it. My public employer and I have agreed on a wage. When they pay me, it WAS public money, but NOW it’s mine. Once it’s in my hands, you don’t get any voice in what happens to it.

Well then maybe I suppose the WI legislature and Scott Walker are just going to make a few changes about how much gets in your hands, when, where and exactly what processes are followed in order to arrive at that paycheck of yours?

The union is in full agreement with Walker on that. It’s the bullshit about collective bargaining that is non-negotiable.

No, I think the WI legislature are about to learn a harsh lesson in democracy.

But those rich bastards? Fuck them. What they do with their money is definitely everybody’s business.

No doubt there will be lessons learned, precedents set, etc.

Or whatever the numbers amount to that don’t quite yet understand the Golden Rule.

He already did, idiot.

You mean “The guy who’s got the gold, makes the rules”?
