Governor Scott Walker just sealed his own fate

This kind of reminds me of the uber-lame attacks on ACORN and Planned Parenthood, attacks that needed heavy editing and excision of key facts in order to make those folks look bad. Walker’s bad enough already; nothing in these tapes is a smoking gun.

The part where Walker compares himself to Reagan and says that Reagan firing the Air Traffic Controllers caused the collapse of the Soviet Union is pretty funny. I wonder if Walker knows that Reagan was a union boss. I also wonder if he thinks Lech Walesa had anything to do with the fall of Communism.

FWIW:

Ever taken a look at the Drive for 35?

Didn’t think so.

A voice Scott Walker firmly believed was that of David Koch until it was posted on the web. He sure sounded like he was reporting his activities to a superior, and sort of bragging about how good he has been.

Really?

All generalizations are false, including this one.

What troubles me much in that conversation is that Governor Walker hasn’t been in office that long and he already has friends who are part of his “one of us” group and one of those friends is David Koch who he was in such a hurry to speak to, he did not bother confirming thru back channels that he was actually David Koch.

Frankly, I think the prank caller must have had some information that Governor Walker would quickly take a call from David Koch who is not an elected official working for the people of Wisconsin.

Yes sir, there is a conspiracy somewhere there. Who is he working for - the people of Wisconsin or David Koch?

Yeah, gets difficult when you have to start dreaming up unconventional ways to get your senators to show up and vote.

It did not sound to me like he was even remotely entertaining the idea. Who was talking about planting protesters and calling people bastards? Pretty funny when the liberal imagination runs wild.

Prank call? What a joke. Just like the whole fiasco.

Show up, do your job, take your medicine, go home and lick your political wounds.

Why don’t you make your next post contain some substantive evidence of this theory?

Just a suggestion.

I say it seals his fate because it will generate terrific ADS against him when he runs for re-election. Plus, I can’t see how Wisconsin legislators can trust that he’s not taking orders and reporting to someone else outside of Wisconsin.

On what planet should majority = tyranny?

Oh, you’re no fun.

I see the state Assembly has now passed the bill. Let’s see what kind of tantrums the whiney, crybaby bitch loser Democrats (to be redundant) will pitch now.

Maybe they will hold their breath until they die! Then we’ll be sorry!

Or not, as the case may be.

Regards,
Shodan

Just to clarify, the State Assembly is the equivalent of the House of Representatives. It still needs to be passed by the State Senate to become law. The State Senate cannot yet muster a quorum to do so.

I assume you’re similarly upset about the Republican abuse of the filibuster in the US Senate, right?

But in any case, I think you’re looking at it wrong. It’s Walker who’s playing the petulant bitch. He got everything he asked for aside from the collective bargaining. So his mewling about how this is about the budget is a lie.

Walker is just a blank ideologue who can’t integrate reality into his world view.

The guy considered endangering the public by bringing in thugs to disrupt the protests. He devised a plan to lure the Democrats back to Madison under false pretenses. What’s a guy gotta do to get recalled?

Other than [del]willingly[/del] eagerly slurping out-of-state billionaire ass?

You can not recall the gov. until he does Kochsucking for 1 year. But the Repub senators can be recalled. Take away his majority and he would not do the Republicans ramming of bills down Wisconsin’s people’s throats.
Lots of sexual imagery there.

Did you actually listen to the “prank” call?

That particular little tidbit was suggested by the “prankster,” to which the Governor politely declined.

Nice try - no cigar.

If you actually listened to the attempted entrapment call, I would like to know exactly what you are smoking and where I can get some.

You have your facts wrong. Walker said “we thought about” planting thugs among the protesters but decided not to because it might backfire if his thugs got too violent. He didn’t just hear an offer and “decline,” he admitted it was something he had seriously considered, and had no ethical problem with.

You also don’t have the slightest idea what “entrapment” means. Don’t use words if you don’t know what they mean.

At least the caller merely suggested violence rather than underage prostitution. Then Walker would really be in trouble.
