My VCR has bitten the dust and I’m looking at buying a new one. I am intrigued by the GoVideo dual deck products but am wondering if anyone has any testimonials re: the quality of this brand (I haven’t read anything bad about GoVideo, but Consumer Reports-type surveys usually don’t include them)
Depends on what you want to do with it. It would probably be cheaper to buy two “name brand” VCR’s and string them together. I recently purchased a Panasonic 4-head stereo with VCR+ for $99 at K-Mart.
GoVideo has a weak web site. I was looking at them the other day, they are about $150.00 at surplusauction.com
or outright about $200 at surplusdirect.com (refurbished) Note that they won’t copy a Macrovision protected film anymore.
But they now have an 8 scene editor & titler included. That’s pretty spiffy. You can watch one film when recording another one. Thats pretty nice.
But there fun use for copying Macrovision protected videos is no more.
