GQ about hair slicking and simple age makeup

I’m going to a movie themed costume party tonight as Vito Corleone. I have the tux/rose/etc. but I need to slick my hair back and I want to age myself a bit.

So-

What’s the best thing to use that will slick my hair back BUT wash out easily and not run all over my tux?

What’s the easiest way to add some relatively convincing age lines to my place without looking like a zombie? (When tighten my face I have some natural lines to emphasize.)

Thanks for any info-

Jim was Dracula for a halloween party last night, and he had great success with slicking his (rather short) hair down with lots and lots of Brylcreem. It stayed down all night, didn’t run, and we assume it will wash out easily (he hasn’t showered yet).

I was a zombie last night, and I used purple to accent lines on my face to look haggard; I would suggest using brown rather than purple to look old rather than supernatural. A brown eyeliner pencil should do the trick.

Depends on your hair type, but a combo of oil and Murrays should work. But yeah, Murray’s is about $3 and is the best stuff ever. I don’t slick my hair back (I’m a girl), but it worked when I had short hair and it also works when I do the bouffaunt thing.

I’ve aged up a few times to play older women. A grey eyeshadow rubbed into the lines you have naturally to emphasise them will help.
