Fine–then “tribal is a term often used imprecisely and inconsistently in a manner that leads to confusion” is a fact, not an opinion, at least by the standards found in GQ. But let’s not call it loaded.

Which has nothing to do with the OP. Ramira did not object either to the term’s alleged imprecision, nor any inconsistency in its use.

Any term that can be construed or misconstrued into political incorrectness is going to fire off the hair triggers hereabouts. Like I said, race cannot be discussed in GQ.

Unless it is clearly being used that way in that thread, then it’s a hijack. Correct the use, don’t hijack the thread into a discussion about the use of the term elsewhere.

This may be true; I’m not entirely clear on the utility of either “black” or “tribal” in a description of the folks pushed south, so I’m not sure whether the objection is valid.

So “How would you feel if you fell from a plane and hit the concrete”, “Why do Somalis looks so distinct”, “Transferring Files From Old Beeping Laptop” - these are all mega-factual threads, I’m sure, they’ll be completely opinion-free threads.
