There’s some great stuff out there! Some of these examples are hilarious.
The “It’s the Claw” picture is my favorite so far. Had me in stitches. That’s genius.
The “Augly Fish” one gave me a good laugh too.

In the ladies room at the Kopper King Tavern here - “Go for broke! Marry a miner!”
Awesome! When I was a kid, I first saw the temple while driving down the highway with my parents. It was at night, and the temple was all lit up, and to me, it looked exactly like the Emerald City. I was entranced–and so disappointed when I found out it was just some church.
I just read a short story by Stephen King that was about a guy who collected these while travelling the country. The Save Soviet Jews" one was in there.
Who nitpicks the nitpickers?
[shamefaced] It’s actually Romani eunt domum. [/shamefaced]
By which I mean, the ‘wrong graffiti’ in the movie, is, not, of course, the actual Latin.
The best graffiti I’ve seen lately is ‘Strict adherence to any religious dogma is intellectual suicide’ - yay for Oxford!
Cheers,
Daphne
Above a urinal: Look up here! pointing higher up the wall to: Congratulations! You are pissing on your shoes!

My all-time favorite:
On the wall of a public toilet stall:
Here I sit in stinkin’ vapor,
Some sonofabitch stole the paper.
Romani ite domum.

Quite right…quite right.
[sub]Hail Caesar.[/sub]
That is messed up!
Hail, Caesar and everything, sir…he’s got a fweind in Wome, you know…

That reminds me of one-which I’ve said aloud in many an elevator since I first saw it-
Maxwell House elevator-Good to the last drop!
And then there’s “We aim to keep this place clean. Your aim will help too.”

I once saw scrawled on a hoarding along the GNER route to Petersborough, a thoughtful political sentiment referring to her as Margaret Twatcher. Fair enough.
The rest of that one is;
“It’s time to go, I dare not linger.
So look out ass, here comes my finger.”
My favorite (above a urinal in my high school),
“Any asshole can piss on the floor,
Be a real hero and shit on the ceiling.”
Most famous (above urinal in a nightclub in Port Nawiliwili, Lanai, Hawaii),
Picture of Billy from Family Circus comic with “Aloha!” in word bubble, with what looked exactly like Bil Keane’s signature from the comic strip. Looked like an original to me.
Funniest (toilet stall in midships head aboard USS Somers, DDG-34)
“This is the tale of screwy Dick,
The man who was born with a corkscrew prick.
He spent his life in a futile hunt,
in search of a girl with a corkscrew cunt.
The day he found her was the day he dropped dead.
The goddamned bitch was a left-hand thread!”
At a bus stop in West Vancouver…

BUM!!
(I don’t recall if the exclamation points were really there or if my brain just added them. I’ll have to look again tomorrow.)
But anyway, WTF?
Seen in a little bar somewhere in Wisconsin:
"Reality is the shadows in the cave."
It’s not often that I find a reference to Plato on the wall of a bathroom in a tiny bar in Wisconsin.
It’s also interesting that either the writer didn’t understand Plato (reality should be outside the cave; the shadows are an illusion), or was deliberately inverting the message of his famous allegory. Most likely the first, but I like to think this bit of scribbling was a sincere philosophic contention that what you see is what you get.
On the footpath outside Auckland University someone had written ‘i can’t sleep’. A few weeks later someone else scrawled underneath it ‘try wanking!’
Right near the entrance to the liabrary someone has written, in big white letters: ‘Smile! Emma exists!’ Puts me in a good mood every time I see it.
