I love the Graham Norton Show, and was sorry when his foray into the US on The Comedy Channel (?) failed - but luckily, BBC America is showing new shows every Saturday.
The most recent show had Joan Rivers and it was, as usual, hysterically funny.
He has recently had Dustin Hoffman and his wife (a great show) and many other really interesting guests - mostly American stars visiting the UK.
I think his show is hands down one of the better talk shows on television today - easily better than Letterman or Leno or any American talk show on the air today.
Didn’t watch this week as a dear friend’s husband died and we were otherwise occupied. But we saw the Hoffman show, and many others. He is a great interviewer and truly witty.
Another fan checking in. I never watch American talk shows regularly, but I watch this one; he gets interesting guests, and he doesn’t talk about politics all the damn time. (He does talk about sex all the damn time, but I can live with that :).)
I saw the one with David Tennant where he trapped someone in a Tardis and had it moved away. I’ve seen it a few other times, but don’t find it interesting. Of course, I’ve not watch a talk show regularly since Johnny Carson retired.
I love that show too. I especially loved the episode where he interviewed the woolen fetish wear lady and had people try on her woolen underwear. Hilarious!
Another fan checking in. I think, at least apart from the music (British pop is just horrid) that Graham has got one of the best chat shows going. I have a love-hate thing with Letterman, I mean, the man’s shtick has been done absolutely to death, but he has his moments. Graham on the other hand is all hilarity all the time. Makes me wish I was a Brit, that I would be able to get the inside jokes.
If y’all like the man, please take him off our hands. We’re heartily sick of him on this side of the pond. I swear, one day a couple of weeks ago he was on three of the five terrestrial channels simultaneously.
We seem to be suffering from a surfeit of camp one-gag TV presenters at the moment (see also Alan Carr - or don’t, if you value your sanity).
