How many of your posts got ‘0’ replies? I have actually had several. Even now, I’d say my reply-less ratio is 1 in 10. I’m sure some people out there post totally normal (i.e. not blatantly trolling/breaking rules) posts that don’t get replies, either because they get buried in the bottom of the pile due to more popular threads, or just coincedence.
Two out of 147. Three if you count a thread where I was the only replier.
And just 'cause I was curious, I counted exactly 100 threads that have ten or more replies. Not a bad average in my opinion.
I’ve only had one post go for naught. But then, I don’t start all that many, and there are several on the list that are embarrassing, to say the least! Two threads went over 100 replies.
My OPs usually only get a couple of replies, and those often appear to be pity posts. It’s humiliating, and I often swear to never again start a thread, but apparently I can’t keep my mouth shut. There are several posters (Incubus and Johnny L.A. come to mind) who often start great threads that get only a couple, if any, responses; perhaps some posts are just so brilliant that there is nothing left to say.
I’ve asked GQs that never got any response but it didn’t make me sad. I figure they were just stumpers/questions nobody but me would ever care about
I’ve started a few threads I thought would be interesting only to have them wither away in a day or so.
A few weeks or months later, I post a variant of the same thread and get a bunch of replies.
Timing and content are vital.
Okay, I’ve started 47 threads. Of these, only 1 got zero responses.
On the other hand, 30 of the 47 had 5 or fewer replies. My crowning achievement is a thread that received 198 replies.
Guess I am not a very prolific poster of new threads. I have only started 4 – maybe related to the fact that the first thread I posted got me spanked a little :eek: Not that I didn’t deserve it as it was not very well thought out or communicated and I was new to the boards and probably should have lurked awhile. But hey, I just jump right in 
My lowest reply count is 10 and the highest is only 37. Do we get prizes for this? Or maybe PIE?
I have started 136 threads. Three have 0 replies, though one was an ATMB test thread. Three have one reply. Thirty eight have fewer than ten replies. Forty one went to two or more pages.
I’ve posted one or two threads in GQ that got zero replies, presumably because they were too obscure for even the most graybearded Dopers, but pretty much everything else has gotten at least one. Only a few however, have ever gone beyond one page, and my most popular thread ever, concerning the shock of receiving live lobsters in the mail, was actually posted on behalf of my non-member sister.
I therefore conclude that I am basically a bore, tedium personified, a sure cure for insomnia, a…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
91 threads started. One with zero replies. It was a weird question, so I’m only semi-embarrassed by the lack of response.
Posts to threads I have started number 5,815. This works out to a thread/post ratio of 42.75.
249 threads started (and in retrospect, I wouldn’t have made 3/4 of them). A variety of results.
3,914 posts to 147 posts for an average of 26.625 for me.
If you discount the extremes (two threads with no reply and the two highest, which’re abnormally high), it falls to 22.1875

I really wish I would have gotten more responses to a thread I started in Great Debates about virtual reality, especially since this question is the basis for a short story I’m working on and I wanted to get some different takes on it. Alas, it was not to be. Maybe I should have posted it in IMHO instead.
2 out of 33 had 0 replies, although a few more had only a few. I was really disappointed that nobody wanted to “Help me make my 2003 Daytona SummerSkank CD mix!”
God, that was depressing. Am I really such a boring person? “I hate ballet” indeed. And one TMI thread I’m quite sorry about, really. I promise I’ll never do it again.
Some data from (roughly) the last year.
I have had a few but those never really shock me because sometimes I just put stuff up just because it happened and I want to say it however I do get surprised when I have a thread that gets 2 pages or more. I was blown away at how many responses the Paris Hilton thread I STARTed got.
I like it though it’s fun to read the responses, even if they disagree with you.
Three of mine got zero replies (well, one got one reply, but that was a bump from me).
I’d still like to know if Marilyn vos Savant ever apologized to Andrew Wiles for those mean things she said about him.
