I buy a camel as a gift to the family and this it lasts less than 5 minutes. None of the other toys have been murdered so viciously, so maybe the camel insulted her mother or something.

Beautiful dogs! Heh. A good time was had by all. Er, except the camel. Our Clover used to do the same thing to stuffed toys, then she discovered they could be, if sufficient size, used not only as prey, but also for mounting. Now, she won’t destroy a stuffie, because then how could she hump it? At seven pounds, she needs something to dominate.
Our dog had a stuffed animal he loved. I don’t recall now what it was, because it was “loved” so well that it was kind of this uniformly grimy brown color and had no arms or legs. The dog ripped the appendages off, and my mom sewed them back on a couple times (with the dog sitting next to her whining the whole time) before mom finally gave up and stopped putting the arms and legs back on. So the dog used to carry around his “baby” that was really just a lump. But, boy, did he love that thing…

They are beautiful and lovely. While I’m sure it wasn’t fun for poor camel, I’m afraid I did laugh at him being dismembered and disemboweled.
I just watched the video, since I’m not at work anymore. Now I want to come over and play with your pups even more! I bet they’re a handful, but I have yet to meet a Dane I didn’t like.

I’m back! I was gone all day playing doggy baby sitter while my dad is out of town.
The camel head is still floating around the living room, randomly being attacked by Gracie. It’s crazy, because she doesn’t do that to ANY of the other toys- just the camel.

So cute! I have a similar problem with 2 of my three dogs. Ernie ate the throw pillows from the couch. We just can’t have nice things!

I used to have a lab that would do the same thing to stuffed animals. I started buying them on the cheap at thrift stores so she would have a ready supply.
She would have a ball chewing on it, ripping it apart and snuffling her nose in the stuffing.
Once, I found a big round pillow of the green guy from Monsters, Inc. (Billy Crystal’s character), and she ripped a hole in the seam, pulled out all the stuffing and then played with the unstuffed pillow part. I’d stuff it back in and sew up the seam (and like Campion said, she’d sit right there watching me, whining and huffing), and toss it back to her. I think that one lasted about a year.
Must be your monitor settings, as on mine it’s a dark pink background with white and very light pink writing that is pretty easy to read (and the little about me box is a very light pink background with dark pink writing). Sorry! All it says is:

Dolores Reborn- I’m glad you understand! Maybe I want a camel as part of my decor, did she ever think of that? No. Because she’s selfish. And a dog. Mostly because she’s a dog.
BiblioCat - they have a few others that have lasted a few months, so I’m not quite sure what sparked her camel hate. They also have: an elephant, a cow (the boy dog’s name is Cowboy so, obviously, he needed a cow), a moose, and lots of oversized tennis balls. The elephant no longer has ears and the cow’s leg is sort of. . . dangling, but they are more or less fine.
This is the camel in all of his pre chewed glory. He was probably the coolest pet toy to ever be manufactured. RIP, Mr. Camel.
I also bought this on the same shopping trip and I can only assume that it’s transvestite Christmas hedgehog.
Oh, and this is Cowboy snuggling with his cow.
