Great discussion with a engineer involved with the Apollo PLSS

Dan Schaiewitz started this thread over at collectspace and it’s fabulous reading his first hand experiences with the astronauts and the training involved with the PLSS & spacesuits along with just normal everyday life that he lived during those times. Hopefully he’ll write a book about it someday. Not hard to see why the Apollo program was so successful despite the tight timeline and so much involved with going to the moon and landing on it when you have so many people like him that were devoted to making it happen. I thought he resembled Paul Lynde quite a bit and he does mention that he’s been told that often:
