Great minds: Help with tattoo wording

If you do not enjoy explaining over and over again, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with, “to me it represents the need for people to mind their own business”. At least to me, tattoos on my body are there for me first.

I have a fairly complicated piece on my upper back that includes a rubber duck, a traditional ship anchor, an old time PFD, a cork, colorful balloons, and the word REFUSE.

When people ask why it says ree-FYOOZ, I explain that it doesn’t. It says REF-yooss.

Masterful!

See? You LIKE to explain over and over. (To me, the fact that you’ve decided to give a non-explanatory explanation is beside the point.) I just wouldn’t want to be having that conversation in the first place, regardless of whether I was the one in control of it or not.

There are plenty of times some yahoo asks me questions about my tattoos and I do not want to talk with them. Depending on my mood, who they are, what they are distracting my attention from, etc I tell them, nicely or rudely, to go away.

Turn it into a Tic-Tac-Toe board and carry a Sharpie with you.
