Another Babylon 5:
Love how real that feels; despite the pyrotechnics of the rest of that episode, that scene is what really gets to me.

“Scully, would you think less of me as a man if I told you I was kind of excited right now?”
In The Wrath of Khan when Kirk looks at the viewscreen and says, “Here it comes.” Perfect deadpan delivery of what can only be described as a “phasered ‘fuck you’.”
And how I hated the perky replacement to the doomed newscasters! The one who was the mouthpiece for Clark’s government.
Another great X-Files moment from the William F. Gibson episode about the rogue AI:
Standing in frontt of keyboard is hot uber-cyberbabe: “Would somebody take these cuffs off me or do you plan on having me do this with my tongue?”
Mulder (glancing at the Lone Gunmen, who are practically drooling): “We’d better not put it to a vote.”
Perusing YouTube, i found the opening scene of the Lexx movie, opening to the [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSEAzT5TQ0g]haunting strains of the Brunnen-G chant, pan up to His Divine Shadow’s ship the Core Shadow launching devestating energy webs at Brunnis
the Core Shadow CGI stands up to even todays standards
I had a really great post written up, but it took to long to write, and I timed out, so the post got eaten by the hamsters when it made me log in again.
The short version:
1.) Farscape, season 3, “Fractures”
At the very end, when John announces his plans to take the fight to Scorpius and the Peacekeepers, to prevent them from mastering the Wormhole knowledge they got from him. The fact that only the two former Peacekeepers will go with him. The fact that Crais of all people would pledge his support to his former arch-rival. John’s response about “We all choose our own paths, this is mine” when Chiana says their going to die. The poignant shot of John, Aeryn, and Crais in profile as the final image.
2.) Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd Gig, the last episode
When the Tachikomas sacrifice the satellite that holds their AIs to intercept the Nuclear ICBM. The fact that they spend their final moments singing a version of the haunting Chorus that both films open with. The way they show the various members of Section 9 wrapping up the action as they hear the singing over the comm channel. The way you see the impact way off in the distance, and the singing abruptly stops with a muffled bang.
3.) Batman Beyond (triple threat)
1.) The reformed Mr. Freeze episode. The whole thing, but most especially when he lashes out at Powers and the female doctor for betraying him, and when he sacrifices himself to save Gotham from the Nuclear Reactor at the end.
2.) The first episode with Shriek, when the acoustics expert goes deaf because of his own equipment at the end. I know it’s kind of corny to have such poetic justice, but the way it’s portrayed, with him unable to hear the building collapsing behind him, or Batman’s warnings, was excellent.
3.) Blight’s final episode. When he asks Batman who he is, and why he’s after Blight, and Terry only responds by saying “You killed my father.” I loved Blight’s cool reply “Do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?”
Pretty much any episode of Venture Brothers.
Kosh, you know what is at stake. If you are going to do anything, you must do it now!
