Great..now I have to start working again

Well I finally found a job. This is good thing since it means I get to keep my NYC appartment and not move in with the folks.

Needless to say, I was pretty excited…that is…until they asked:

“Can you start Monday?”

uhhh…
You mean…I have to actually get up before 11, get dressed and commute back and forth from a place where I have to actually do work?

I can’t watch back to back Miami Vice reruns anymore in the afternoon?

That doesn’t sound like much fun

I guess I like the idea of work a lot more than I actually like working.

Can you maybe work out some sort of arrangement where they just pay you, but without, y’know, all that work stuff?

If I could have arranged it, I would have taken one last week of unemployment before starting my new job. Unfortunately, I couldn’t, since I was temping here already. Poo.

Doesn’t matter where you do it, the obligation of working often sucks ass.
