By the way, I don’t like to make fun of folks with speech impediments. Elmer Fudd is an imaginary character, so I figure I can get away with that.
I had a friend once, who had a significant speech impediment. She took speech lessons for years to reduce the effect, but it was still noticeably there. But even she couldn’t help having fun with it. She used to challenge people she just met to figure out what kind of accent she had.
