Eastern European pop and rock make greater use of the accordian than American pop. As I recall from my years in Laredo TX, so does Mexican pop music.

Being a huge Counting Crows fan, I should have remembered this one.

I dunno if it’s pop enough for you. but I heard of them (and him) before I ever heard the music – Buckwheat Zydeco songs are absolutely chock full of accordion music.

I think some of the aforementioned may actually contain concertina (which I guess is technically an accordian.)

Jovanotti, “Regazzo Fortunato”. Great early 90s Italian happy, dancey funk track with a concertina solo.
