Clips from taskmaster first showed up in my “you might like” list on youtube a few years ago. And I loved it, but not enough to really hunt it down, just to watch the clips. So glad when they started putting the entire episodes up this year.
It’s fun to monday morning quarterback and think how much better you’d be at the task if you had to do it and at the same time know you’d do the exact same dumb thing that the comedians were doing. It’s really too bad that it got such horrible ratings on the CW.

Thanks for sharing this, hadn’t seen it before. I see what you mean, but by the end it was 100% clear that it was scripted - it’s obvious from how it finished. Also, towards the end Elton is clearly trying not to laugh.
Judging by his performance as himself in the Kingsman film sequel, I’d say Elton is very happy to have the mickey taken out of him in this kind of way.
