I enjoyed this modern rendition of Baby, It’s Cold Outside. It says something about modern mores.
I’ve been just obsessing about Norm Macdonald’s Moth joke (told to him by Colin Quinn, and retold in a longer form here) the last few days. I don’t know how I’ve missed it for so long.

On Netflix, James Acaster has a 4 part special of which this is a blurb. But the 4 episodes are brilliant in tying together and back referencing each of them. Absolutely brilliant!
But I will put in my contribution of which James is currently on on Youtube, Taskmaster which is a competition show which is self explanatory very quickly but they now have their first 51 episodes posted to YouTube if you want to go back to the beginning. Definitely a show that is fun for the whole family and lots of British comedians to follow up on later. The posted episode had my doubled over laughing a couple of times- Series 7 is definitely the most amusing to date for me.
My favorite James Acaster bit is from his appearance on “Would I Lie to You” with his story about a game of “Squirt”
His other appearances especially “Cabbages” was a classic!
This slayed me.
Seconded @Disheavel’s reccomendation of Taskmaster.
My contribution is Markiplier playing the sadistic PC Game Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy. I actually watched every single episode in this series and found it highly gratifying. You really feel for the guy.
This is a classic that I go back and rewatch every few months.
It is a ‘classic’ trick though. I’ve seen a few other magicians do it, including a very young David Copperfield, not just in the same manner, but with nearly identical banter, like they’re all reading the same script.
In any case, the Carl-Einar Hackner version is the one I like the best. Maybe it’s the accent.
My favorite standup comedian, the late John Pinette, telling a story about his love of Italian food.
I’ve been watching Taskmaster on YouTube for a few weeks now. I think I’ve seen through whichever episode from the seventh series they posted last week. And about a month ago, the US broadcast channel The CW was going to air the eighth series on Sunday nights, but the first night got such crappy ratings that they changed their minds, and instead were going to make it available on the CW streaming service.
(I’ve also been watching 8 Out Of Ten Cats Does Countdown, The Big Fat Quiz and a couple of other UK panel shows.)
I’ve been really enjoying Chris & Jack sketches lately. One of the better ones:
Oh man, thanks for reminding me of him. That bit was great. I’ll be listening or re-listening to John Pinette’s bits tonight.
Dunkey also does a great video on Getting Over It: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qGCleYV4cw
