Since I was born (in '62?) I’d have to say the microprocessor, feedback guitar, Moon travel (and Tang,) GUIs, e-mail (ARPNET? ARKNET? Whatever Xerox PARC called it!, ) Two-Hand Tapping (Eddie VanHalen…,) DH (NOT!!!,) Disco (NOT!!!,) Stealth (Well, ok, it was only developed in my lifetime, it was INVENTED in th '20’s,) .NET ( :rolleyes: ,) fibre-optics, plausible-deniability.

Like Ferris’ post ( :slight_smile: Um, he’s sick. My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious!) Like Ferris’ post I thought you meant MY best invention. That would have to be mayonaise and mustard and parmesan cheese dressing.

Lots of good things have been invented in the last 21 year. The one that makes my life the easiest is the digital camera. (I’m a newspaper photographer)

Penicillin was discovered in 1928, but the uses for it, the method to ferment enough for demand, etc. were not around until after I was born.

I imagine some people have nominated the PC, because it came along after they were born. I will mention the computer.

Television is a good answer, since it dominates almost everything.

I don’t think that copy machines or the fax gets enough credit, either.

I worked for an oilwell logging company in the early 70’s and we used one. I think the “send” and “receive” machines were seperate.
