Whilst I will await the enquiry, you of all people know and understand how European directives operate - you know that all these safety measures were contained in EU directives that every EU government had to incorporate into local legislation, and you of all people understand that this is at the very root of the Brexit vote
Enlighten me. While I am aware of the UK legislation, I am ignorant of the relevant EU directives - at least ones that far back. My agents have never referenced EU legislation.

Is there a listing of towers in London with suspected claddings such as this? I’m thinking of going back to London in the next year or so, and towers much like these are on my short list of things to take pictures of, so if I could work my vacation around any sudden becondomenting of said towers it would be great along with of sure making sure they were up to code.

I’m hoping that many of the survivors had other people they could stay with, and not have to live in a hotel for who knows how long.
Just got an email from my mother, who lives in Australia but grew up in England.
Her sister, aged in her late 60s, who is largely estranged from the family and has had mental health problems, was apparently living in the tower recently, possibly with her adult daughter, and we haven’t been able to find out if they were still living there last week.
The last address that my mum had for her was a flat in Grenfell Tower, and that was in January or February of this year. Mum called some friends in England, and they gave her the number for a phone line that’s been set up for relatives of the residents. She now has a file number, and is listed as next of kin, but hasn’t heard anything back yet.
