Okay, so I’m caught up. And I may finally be over it. The writing is so inconsistent.
I’m disappointed with what they’ve done with Bailey, and the Chief, and well, everyone. Owen was irreparably damaged, until we decided to wreck Christina so now he’s fine. All better.
I was never on board with Callie and Arizona. I like both actresses, and even both characters and never bought them as a couple. Will there be a Callie and Mark friends with benefits “hey we blew it with the real people, lets just marry eachother” story?
Do any of you work in hospitals? It is possible for people who work in hospitals to date anyone who does not work in that hospital. At least on daytime soaps there’s a hospital AND a business venture of some sort so doctors and nurses can date vice presidents and newspaper reporters, or cops.
The Christina need Meredith/Christina hates Meredith back and forth is iritating.
The Avery scenes last night (the trauma test) were just irritating. But, BUT…lines like “No. We’re in Apocalypse Now and he’s gonna scalp them.” are what keep me around. Season one had a LOT more clever lines like that, and there’s part of me that’s hoped against hope that we’ll return to that, but dead Denny, and sad Christina, and too many other story lines to list have knocked the hope out of me.
And they’re being so heavy handed with the Alzheimer’s message that I’m pretty sure that once they decide which season is the last - that Meredith will simultaneously be diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s and become pregnant (hostile uterus notwithstanding).
What’s the Chief’s current marital status? Is Adelle all the way gone?
Private Practice for me is mainly about ogling Taye Diggs and Tim Daly, and mocking Addison’s shoes. I mean, really. On Grey’s, Addison was strong and confident. Now she seems weak and perpetually wounded. I really enjoyed Kate Walsh when she was on The Drew Carey Show, but on PP I find the duck face she makes whenever she has to delilver a line with any emotion behind it (regardless of what the emotion is) distracting. I don’t know if her forehead is filled with injectables, or she holds her face that way to prevent wrinkles.
I don’t see how this storyline with Charlotte is great for the show. Did some focus group say the show wasn’t edgy or violent enough? Uggh? I’ll be interested to see how Sheldon reacts if he gets back to questioning the guy and realizes what’s happened. He was falling for Charlotte before she and Cooper got back together. And there again, I suspect there will be a tiny shining gem of beautiful acting that cuts through the “Is Amelia just staying now? Who wears those shoes to do surgery? What happened to Whatshisname the doctor from upstairs with the ALS treatment who’s in love with Naomi?” nonsense. So I’ll keep watching.
I don’t know a lot about how hospitals and doctors work, but isn’t being Chief of Staff at a hospital in a major city a pretty full time job? How does Charlotte then have time for her sexology practice at Oceanside?
