Grotewold Intl "Live the Dream" - Any experiences? What is it?

So our regional home and builder show was this weekend, but a major part of the complex was roped off for a group known as Grotewold International. Walking past gave no indication on what this was, other than nicely dressed people (and some sort-of nicely dressed) and some loud music coming out of a meeting room.

Their Live the Dream web site doesn’t give any details, other than a few slogans:

[ul]
[li]Live The Dream[/li][li]When the Dream is big enough, the facts don’t count![/li][li]There is never a God given dream without someone else’s destiny changed because of it!"[/ul][/li]
So exactly what is this about? Are they selling motivational seminars and books and CDs? It sounds like something my gullible brother would get caught up in…

I have no idea, but anything using the phrase “the facts don’t count” is probably something best avoided.

Founded 2009 under “unclassified” as industry type, corporate address is a (nice) residence.

WAG: another “inspirational/motivational” con scheme.

Let me guess: the buildings being shown were not exactly “starter” homes, were they?

The Grotewolds are in Amway. My ex-boyfriend got sucked into Amway (hence the ex part) and the Grotewolds are some of the “diamond” speakers I got dragged to see one time. “Live the Dream” is one of the names they call their particular branch of Amway. Avoid this like the plague!

I’m curious what the “facts” are that they “count”.

My brother that I referred to in the OP was in Amway for a short time. Last year he gave me the spiel about Melaleuca. He wanted to know if I wanted their $275 introductory package or the special $500 package of stuff I’d never use. Um, no thanks.

Ummmm…

I’ certain they would be more than willing to discuss their wonderful dream(s) with you - at length.

Hi John,
I saw your post from a few months back and I figured I’d help answer your questions, as the responses seemed inaccurate. I do not work for Grotewold-intl, but I do know the owners personally. It is group of entrepreneurs who train and empower people how to make money online as well as improve their skill sets on corporate and professional endeavors. They do not sell any motivational materials on their site, and do not make money from any books sold at their events. Any “business tools” seen on their websites are PDFs or book and audio recommendations that can be purchased at non affiliated 3rd party websites. Nothing anyone who is gullible would succeed in. I’ve seen professionals from every background have significant success in their endeavors, based on the principles and association affiliated with this business team. I’d be happy to answer more questions for you, if necessary.
Mike

I’d like to start living the dream, but the dream is password protected. :frowning:

Is it connected to Amway? Straight answer please.

I found them listed on FindTheCompany: Grotewold International.

Wow, yeah, with revenue of nearly $81,000 a year, I’m sure Grotewold International is recognized around the world as a leader in the “business services industry”.

Well, yeah. IME, people involved in this type of “business” don’t give away anything for free.

“Now … if you trust in yourself … and believe in your dreams … and follow your star … you’ll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren’t so lazy.”

Yes, that is one of the companies they are partnered with.

It appears he’s (with his wife) an Amway powerhouse with enough cashflow from his pyramid downline that he also indulges in being a motivational speaker for fellow or aspiring MLMers. Most of the time stuff like this is focused on semi-successful MLM types who want to get the inside scoop on taking it to the next level.

It appears (per the somewhat mangled teeth they both have) that both he and his wife come from modest backgrounds and I’m betting he’s insanely focused on his goals. It’s refreshing that’s he’s keeping his appearance real vs becoming a plastic person.
