I know that we have a few CT Dopers down in that neck of the woods. I saw this photo on the Courant’s web site. You can see the path the crashing plane took as a charred line through two houses. Truly frightening way to start your morning.

Well, yeah. the pilot and co-pilot were killed on impact. Somehow casualties on the ground (although there weren’t any serious ones here) have always seemed more horrific to me. If you’re just sitting at the kitchen table drinking your coffee and a Learjet wing slices through your house, I guess that seems to be totally outside the possible range of events…
