Guess I won't be wearing those anymore...

I’ve had 2 pair of jeans that were loved beyond repair.

The first was a pair of Pepe flare-leg jeans that I got on a clearance rack for $9.00. I’ve had them since 8th grade. I wore them for years then had to retire them when I speedskated and my leg muscles were too big to comfortable fit. After speedskating (and the big muscles) died out I began wearing them again. I still have them in a box under my bed - with a big hole under the asscheek (no cite for that)

The second pair was the best fitting pair of jeans I’ve owned. They looked and felt great - soft and broken in. I loved 'em and Mr J thought they looked great, but they just didn’t last as long as I would’ve liked them to. Eventually, the butt cheek (again!) started to wear thin and split right below the pocket.

I’ve looked everywhere and haven’t found a worthy replacement yet.

You wear pyjamas, but not to bed? How … curious. Why not a nice comfy dressing gown instead? Easier to slip in and out of, and after all that’s what they’re for.

I, too, have felt this pain. Part of me still grieves for my favorite pair of Naf-Naf jeans which I bought in Paris in 1996. They gave up the ghost last spring. (Though I still have them in my closet, unable to part with their remains.)

I blame the French for selling me an inferior-quality product.

The last bra I threw out because it was overworn was a training bra. I loved it because it was a gorgeous shade of blue. It was a transition bra - like a training bra but more sporty - for actual tits, not raisinettes. I had to chuck it when the lacy bits became holey bits.

Dressing gowns tend to…slip…

I have two dressing gowns and I will wear them alone when I get up but I put on the pj’s after I got out of the shower. I was having a REALLY lazy day.

I am also being forced to throw out my sneakers - I bought some sketchers flats to replace them (I don’t wear them for running but as comfortabubble shoes for work and so on) but they smell because I can’t wear socks with them and if I wear them for long periods of time, they get uncomfortable. The sneakers are falling to pieces, missing seams in places and really worth chucking out. But no, I luffers them. Or something.

You take a sauna in nylon shorts? Isn’t it…incredibly uncomfortable?

Is this some strange British custom?

Mixed Sauna - swimwear required. I don’t do speedos, so I swim/exercise in shorts. These were pretty good - a fairly heavy weave that wore well, dried overnight and had an inner liner to stop things … flopping.

I don’t have a problem with no clothes saunas - but the poms don’t do that sort of thing. :dubious:

Si

my sam and libby loafers. a lovely spectator pair. i got them on super-sale at strawbridge and clothier’s basement. a most wonderful place to get shoes.

alas, this year the shoes broke beyond repair, and strawbridge’s went down for the count.
