Guess what 60 Minutes decided to do last night? (Answer: Benghazi)

Study it out… just study it out.

Give the network credit for that and the show they will have this Sunday as a follow-up.

One thing Faux News generally does not do, and one thing Faux never does.

I’d just chalk it up to Drunky’s delerium tremens. Impressive how he doesn’t let them slow ( Or add interest to) his postings.

Well, that was painful to watch; apparently they spent a year on that report, so it couldn’t have been pleasant to find out your main witness is less than reliable.

Practically speaking though, what significance does this have on their report? I didn’t watch the broadcast, but I’m guessing this revelation casts into doubt the claim that there was a list of three targets with the first two checked off?

As for the “well, they should have been prepared” crowd, it seems to have slipped their minds that this happened on 9/11. From an intelligence standpoint, do you know how noisy the data must be on that anniversary? Every single US outpost on the face of the planet was probably dealing with some level of rumored threat. Blend that with reduced spending on embassy security and it’s a no-win situation.

The report basically consisted of narratives from two people, so having to disavow one of them is a pretty big blow.

The video froze up for me at the point that Lara Logan started to explain the vetting process. I’m very interested to hear how this one guy, who used a fake name for their report, duped them during a year long preparation. This is especially because his account included some obvious self-aggrandizement and some eyebrow raising accounts. One would have thought he was the world’s foremost expert on security matters, and his description of his nearly unique and devastating assessment of the preparation evident at the compound should have been taken with a grain of salt by anybody who is not adaher.

His account of the risks he took and extremes he went to just get a look at the ambassador’s body had me raising an eyebrow as well. This action hero security expert should have gotten some scrutiny.

Oh, good point, I might have been whooshed.

It’s not like it hasn’t happened before.

This thread is hilarious. I’m beginning to think that adaher is so wrong that if he hits on something right, some sort of quantum fluctuation changes the past to guarantee he’s still wrong.

I think I read about that theory in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Being a Dumbass.

I guess maybe at least he won’t be demanding Benghazi witnesses and stuff before he will stop obstructing Obama’s court nominees.

However…

In other news:

First time I’ve ever heard of a recall on a book.

Satan’s court jester for the GOP, David Barton, is someone else who had a book pulled for “telling the truth” about Thomas Jefferson back in 2012.

Sigh

Carry on.

Probably because of catastrophic butt failure in the event of a low-speed collision.

Thomas Nelson just stopped selling the book; they did not offer to buy back any copies already sold!

adaher, will you please start a thread titled, “BlackKnight will definitely NOT win the lottery”? Pretty please?

Yeah, I guess technically you’re right, Shodan; there was no forger involved.

Hoo boy. Well, um, I have someplace I urgently need to be. Bye!!

This right here is why I like Adaher better than Bricker.

Is it a consulate? I bet it’s a consulate. It needs protecting. Run, dude! Protect that consulate!
