Guess where I am?

I’m in school!!! I can’t express how wierd it feels to be here after graduating 3 years ago, then working 2 years in an office.

How did everyone in school get so young? I feel so lost and overwhelmed, yet so excited. I don’t know this campus at all, but fortunately all my classes are in the same building, so I don’t have to travel too far yet.

Yeah!! Yeah!! baby, baby, whose in school? If you thought me (meaning Moe) than you are right.
I’m using an IMAC because that’s all that was available. I hate this computer. I want NT. They say Macs are more user-friendly, but I’m not seeing it.

On a more pit worthy note (but remaining tame enough to be welcome here [I hope]), they have a really stupid parking rule that’s really pissing me off:
You can’t buy a daytime monthly parking pass for the parking garage if you are an undergrad. Now, I am taking 7 classes, all music, all in the same building which is about a 46 second walk from the parking garage, and I think 5 of my classes are in the mourning-early afternoon. Why is that significant? Because as an undergrad, I can get an evening monthly pass (which allows me to use the lot from 3pm -11pm). So what are my options as a commuter? Well, there’s this lot way, way, over there ::pointing with outstretched arm in a general direction to indicate great distance:: which has a bus which periodically (every 10-15 min., 24 hrs. I think) comes and picks you up and drops you off at some point in the center of the campus. Now its not that I’m opposed to a little walk, but the degree to which being able to park in the garage is more convenient cannot be overstated. As a guitarrist I’ll be carrying around a heavy guitar most every day, and I’ve had a back operation in the past.
Damn! I should have put this in the pit. I was happy when I started typing this, now I’m all worked up.
And I’m bored. I have over an hour to kill before my next class.

If you are still reading this (and asking yourself why) (and cursing me for wasting your time with this anticlimatic drivel), think MPSIMS.

oh man, before I opened this thread, I was going to say “In school?”.

Congratulations! I can’t wait to get back in school!

BTW, why don’t you find someone who IS eligible for a parking pass, yet lives on campus so doesn’t have a car, and have them get one for you?

Well, of course that’s an obvious solution, and the one I’m going to pursue after I’ve gone to the top god of campus parking and pleaded my case. I do know that when you get a pass they record a lot of personal info (name, SS#, make/model/Licsense plate#) but I don’t think that would be an issue. I’m just hoping the one grad student friend I have doesn’t use the garage.

Good luck in school when you get there!

Congratulations, Moe! I’ll be rooting for you.

Sue’s got a good idea about the parking pass. Also, be persistent about trying to get one - it might take you a while to ferret out exactly which person in which office can help you. Be polite, persistent, and write lots of letters until you get what you want.

Enjoy school! I’m looking for a guitar teacher right now, I’ve been trying to teach myself for a while but I’m a bit stuck and need someone to just show me some stuff.
