Guess who's getting a 57" wide-screen TV.

That’s right, ME.

Last weekend me and one of my roommates went down and picked out a Toshiba 57" wide-screen HDTV compatible TV. The TV is bigger than our current entertainment center. The TV in front room now is only about 24". So this is a huge upgrade.

They tell us that they will deliver the TV on Tuesday, April 6 between 4 and 7 p.m.
So, I get home about 3:45 yesterday. My roommate and I are sitting around waiting like little kids in anticipation. We are planning on watching the Kings game at 7 on our new TV. Time was moving slowly, though. Time always seems to move slower when you are waiting for something. I called a few friends to come watch the Kings game on my 57" TV. At 6:30 I decided to call and make sure they were bringing the TV. They told me that they already tried to deliver and nobody was there. I told them that they were wrong and argued with them for a little bit. Then they told me the address they went to and the address was the address for my Mom’s house. Let me tell you that I still use my Mom’s address as my mailing address. So it’s the address that I usually give people.

WHAT AN IDIOT!!
It’s was too late for them to deliver last night so I have to wait until today. We had watch the game on our regular old TV.
They told me that they will deliver the TV Wednesday, April 7 between 3-5 p.m.
So, I have to go home from work today and wait a little more.

I was mad about it last night. But, I’ve gotten over it.
I can’t wait to play Playstation on it.
I have to wait until tomorrow to watch a Kings game on it.

57" WIDESCREEN TV!!!

As long as you’re not my husband, you can get as many big screen TVs as you want.

Me being a bastard: Hey, that sounds a whole lot like my Toshiba. Except I got the 65" model. :stuck_out_tongue:

Me being put in my place: I’ve moved three times since I bought it, and had to rent a forklift each time to get the thing in and out of second-story apartments. :frowning:

The Moral: Sometimes biggest isn’t the best. I’ve always said I wish I had bought the 57" model instead.

Actually, I just noticed another similarity. I bought mine during the 2002 NBA playoffs. I was so psyched, and I made sure they would be able to deliver sometime before the final round. They totally dragged their feet and screwed me, not delivering it until the day after the final game. :mad:

But, because of constant acts of scumbaggedry like that, the store no longer exists. Gee whadda shame. :slight_smile:

Anyway, congratulations! Make sure to get a kick-ass surround system to go with it, and pay close attention to the warnings about using it with your Playstation (they can be fatal to certain TVs).
