I just wish people, on either side could say what THEY think, and then justify it IN THEIR OWN WORDS, instead of just using quotes and cites from other people. It’s all too easy to take part of a quote and take it out of context. You lose the original meaning and it becomes too easy to twist it around. Besides, if I want to know what Bush or Cheney or Kerry said, I can find it myself in the newspaper. But I guess it is easier to just take the “official line” than think for yourself.
I was answering what I assumed to be Airman’s reference to the attempts by the Chinese to buy influence with the Clinton Whitehouse. I am more distrubed by the billions of dollars the corrupt and despotic Saudi government has pumped in the Bush family and the US economy in order to buy favor.
How does one get such a job? I’d be willing to do a little whoring for some cold cash. :o

Experience has taught me that any given belief system, given a True Believer, will cause that True Believer to go out and spew the Word, whether payment is involved or not.
And these days, if you ask me, much of what the GOP stands for qualifies as a belief system. Unless you’re rich, there’s not much else to it.
