I used some of my christmas money to buy Guild Wars yesterday, because I like playing MMORPGs, but don’t like paying monthly fees.
So far I like it. I still haven’t gotten into the multiplayer aspect of it yet (I usually like to level up a bit before meeting other people). That’s where you folks come in, though. I did a search and saw that there was talk of starting up an SDMB clan. Did that idea ever see the light of day?
Anyway, my character is ‘Erisian Disciple’, a 5th level Necro/Monk (don’t you love the dichotomy of the two classes?).
I’m on Guildwars… I play with some regularity… if you’re interested, I have a small guild (only three of us so far) called… BEER. Yes, creative, I know. I started it with some friends, and we named our first few characters after Magic Hat beer types.
Anyway, I’m, er, you know, I can’t remember. I have one character Humble Patience but I’m not using her much right now. I can’t think of my other guy’s name at the moment. When I get home tonight I’ll post it, and maybe get on GW too.
I have a level 5 mesmer/necro, and a level 7 monk/ranger. Both are roleplaying characters. The “rites of rememberance” quest is fun with a necro type, isn’t it?
Unfortunately, I haven’t fired the game up in the past month and a half. I glutted myself on it for at least a solid month, getting as far as Lion’s Gate with two or three characters, before a combined problem of being forced to dialup for two weeks because of a moving glitch with Verizon DSL and just getting played out. I’ve been wanting to play again lately, but have been pretty busy with work, and spending all my free time on Christmas gifts, like a rediscovered copy of FFX.
I’ll let you know if I start back up. I’ll probably want to just scratch everything and start fresh, and I’ll give away any gold and decent items I’ve gotten so far.
