Somebody play with me, dangit! Another Wow Thread.

I’ve got me level 30 solo only NE druid and my level 17 NE rogue. I’ve got my level 17 Human warlock, my level 17 gnome warlock and my level 12 human warrior. Except for the purposely solo druid, I made all my other characters expecting to meet up with others and play. So far, except for very specific quests and random quest parties, I’ve never really played with others.

I’d like to play with people I like and can talk to and won’t want to kill me if I make a mistake and help me with stuff and I could help them with stuff. . .
Well, I’m sick of being lonely and I’m sending out this clarion call to all Doper WoWers—

Friday, August 5th , make a new Alliance character on-- pulling server outta my butt— Windrunner. We will join together and we will RULE THE WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!! Or maybe just play and socialize.

Can this be done?

Sounds fun, I’ve got a 16 Gnome Mage on Shadow Council, and have started playing WoW again since I abandoned City of Heroes. I’d like to try out a different kind of character, and a SD guild would be cool.

It seems like everyone I do talk to in game is only interested in maxing out everything and doing endgame stuff, boring.

I guess it’s just me and you, kid.

Made a server change to Cenarius from Elune … have a lot cleaner conenction with tons less lag, and got into a great horde guild who actually has fun together [just chatting in guild chat, and actually grouping together.=) ] and we are not in a hurry to level up, though we do help out each other on quests and are a member of a guild coalition to do higher level quests and raids. Look me up, Sonnenschein, Knights of Oblivion, Cenarious server. We range from level 1 to 60, with 75% of the membership under 40

The coolest server is Cenarion Circle.

I would join in but not on August 5th; I’m leaving for the beach that day.

Who else hoped that this thread wasn’t about World of Warcraft (or whatever that game is called)

It doesn’t have to be the 5th of August nor does it have to be that particular server, either.

I’m thinking of a NE Paladin. I lurve Night Elves and have never started a Paladin. Apparently I’m a pantywaist.

Also, I don’t really know how this guild stuff works. AND, even though I asked for Alliance, everybody starts off in different cities. No, I’m not very organized, am I?

OK, guilds are more or less groups of people banded together in this game to accomplish certain things…

family guilds are more like the way i jokingly refer to my gaming as chat rooms with killing… they frequenlty dont really do much together other than chat in guild chat, and help each other out by swaping around trade materials [stuff dropped from monsters or harvested from plants and mineral deposits, or fished up from the water] spare equipment [armor and weapons] and help out by grouping to kill things needed for finishing quests. My guild is a family guild. We talk, and make jokes and essentially ‘hang out’ though I like to hunt and do quests, so most of the time i am out killing things [frex, 3 other guildies, a non guildie and I did an Uldaman dungeon instance today, one of them mined me some indurium ore because i am not a miner and I needed it for a quest. in return, we killed lots of monsters, and got some decent weapons and armor from the monsters that we can sell or swap around] though I do know a couple guildies who do nothing more than sit around in one of the cities and talk to people for hours.

raiding guilds, or more hard core players are very task oriented. they are the ones who want to get to the highest level as fast as possible, and get the nicest equipment in the game, and frequently have strict membership requirements such as you must be involved in a guild raid 3 days per week, and these raids can run from 3 hours to 6 or 7 hours, or even longer on weekends. I have people teasing me baout being a hardcore gamer because i am in game most of the time and i amalways out doing something - quests or hunting for the stuff to sell to make money for training, or getting drops for my tradeskills=) but I refuse to be in a real raid guild…did that in EQ and wont do it again!

Well, pick a server and a side and I’m sure some of us will throw a character or two out there. I’m by no means a hard-core gamer but I do like to have folks to hang out with when I’m online (so I guess I like aruvqan’s “family guilds”).

I’ve got some bad news for you. Only dwarves and humans can be paladins. :frowning:

I’m still working on my gnome rogue on Bronzebeard. Shooting for 60 before 1 September.

Then I’ll prolly go back to the Horde on Spinebreaker (woot! pvp!) and work on my warrior and my mage.

Then I’ll start a new account so I can level a toon up to 60 and sell the account. I just want to see how fast I can do it and how much I can get for the account.

But in all that, I can prolly find time to start a toon somewhere for a SD guild. PvP server or blue server? I’m a PvP fan myself…

Did I not say I’m a pantywaist? No PvP for me. I seriously wonder how anybody can get anything done what with people trying to kick your ass all the time.
Family guild sounds like exactly what I was looking for.

Well, I get plenty done but it’s prolly because I’m usually the guy who is kicking people’s asses. My main had more than 200 PvP kills in less than a month after the honor system was installed, and I’ve only spent about 3 minutes in a BattleGrounds instance. <shrug>

If it’s gonna be a blue server, pick a low population one. If there’s no people there for killin’ at least let there be no lag.

Oh, and the server should have a cool name, too. I think you mentioned Whisperwind? Are we Horde or Alliance? I vote Horde… I play a human all day in real life.

I have some Horde characters on Windrunner, but all my Alliance characters are on Medivh. My highest level Horde is 14, but I have Alliance characters from 7 through 60.

I might be interested, but I don’t think Europeans can play in U.S. realms.

Can they?

I thought they could. The farmers tend to come from all over the world, so I don’t see why not.

I’m a PvE man myself. Feel free to drop by Sargeras for some action though.

I think if you’ve a European IP number when you connect up you are only given the listed option of European servers (that’s English speaking, French speaking or German speaking realms).

I was just wondering if there was a way around that. But I suspect US realms would probably be too laggy in practice .

Oh, I forgot… “farmers”?
