Preparing for a movie, my ass.
Oh. I thought this was something important. Like a Doonesbury thread.
Why put this in the Cafe?
MPSIMS would be more appropriate.
Holy cow. Winona in the slammer…?
I guess I misunderstood
I thought Winona Ryder was an actress.
My apologies.
Actually, it’s Guilty! Guilty! Not Guilty!
Unless you’re a big ol’ Kate Bush fan, in which case it has to be “Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!” just like in Waking the Witch.

No, it was Not Guilty! Guilty! Guilty! I saw them read the vertict on CNN this afternoon
Shhh, I’m picturing her in the prison shower.
But the big story is that OJ’s going to jail! He skipped out on a court appearance for a ticket and the judge issued a bench warrant.
Winona Ryder’s next movie project is “Girl Incarcerated”.

Any defense lawyer who puts a bow on top of his client’s head and tells the jury “Do you think she would be caught dead wearing this?” needs to be disbarred. He didn’t say “My client didn’t steal this.” He said “My client has too much taste to steal this.”
I was thinking of Doonesbury, myself. Good old Nixon era political humor.
This is off the subject, but the title reminded me.
Professor Leo Dinnerstein, an expert on the Leo Frank/Mary Phagan murder/lynching case said that when the prosecution was delivering the closing argument, that the prosecutor was delivering the closing remarks, he had it timed to the ringing of the town bell at 3:00, saying that "We have shown that Mr. Frank is GUILTY. . .
boooonnnngggg
GUILTY. . .
boooonnnngggg
GUILTY. . .
boooonnnngggg .
In the movie “They Won’t Forget,” which was based on the two crimes, Claude Rains’ portrayal of the prosecution played it more like “guilty, guilty, guilty,” similar to the way that impressionists have delivered Cary Grant’s saying “Judy, Judy, Judy.”
