Guilty Pleasures

I’m drinking good wine* from a plastic cup.
I’ve brought home take-out Chinese food twice in five days
I ate pie for breakfast on Friday

Thanksgiving weekend is the best weekend of the year (although my beloved Patriots are getting their asses handed to them today by KC). Just thought I’d share.

I had a Pepperoni left over from Wednesday that is now dried and tasty as it should be. I sliced it in thin ovals and added some Swiss cheese on some homemade rye my wife made for Thanksgivings and had a very enjoyable and sharp sandwich. It was excellent.

Pie for breakfast *every * day after Thanksgiving until it’s gone. What guilt? The pies have fruit (apples) and vegetables (pumpkin) in them.

It’s not a Thanksgiving thing, but every now and then, I make a batch of guacamole, and eat nothing but guacamole and chips all day. It makes me feel really good.

Just had a great hot dinner and a crumbly, spicy, steaming apple blossom–with vanilla ice cream–for dessert, after a long shift. Going to have a blissfully relaxed shower now, listen to some music and kick back, and drop off to bed soon.

It’s the littlest things that count.

Not to nitpick, but pumpkin is a fruit too (since it has seeds).
