“Gunnar’s Wheels” needs you, Dopers!

Tonight’s vote is courtesy of Luna, our younger dog (3 1/2). Luna is a dynamo of physical energy – she needs no wheels – but she is a friend to all dogs (and humans). She dragged me two miles around the lake this evening, stopping to meet and greet every dog she could. She would want other dogs to be mobile too, I am certain. She’s super gentle and respectful with Simone.

Gus, Baker, Sailboat and Luna: thanks for keeping the ball rolling today while I was waylaid with–I believe they’re called–“chores.” To paraphrase Bette Midler, You vacuum the house, six months later you gotta vacuum again, so why bother? Thanks for your votes.

Two more of our furry friends got their carts today*; Trotter Boy (Pittie mix?) sent two videos and Rizzo (Goldendoodle?) sent some pix with vids forthcoming. It’s amazing how quickly they adapt to these chairs.

Again.

Any idea of where Gunner stands in the voting?

In post #35 the OP said they don’t know what the standings are, it’s not revealed until the end.

The wheels on the dog go round and round!

Well, GusNSpot, Baker, Sailboat, we meet again. New information from the Foundation: a pic of Scooter (Chihuahua), who got his wheels today–his look says to me What are YOU lookin’ at? Never seen a Robo-dog before? And pix and video of Becky (Chihuahua mix?) who got her wheels today, handed down from several dogs at Friends of Emma. Look at her go!! Wish I moved that well. Try not to smile at her turn-on-a-dime near the end of the vid. And what a smile on the full face pic.

Oh, and thanks once again for your votes, folks.

…all through the town. (I LOLed, I did)!

Thanks Baker, I forgetted that.

Again: I voted.

When it rains, it pours: a short video from Portugal(!) featuring Sky–a couple of happy tails there; a video from Turbo (Boxer?) getting the hang of it; a video follow-up from yesterday starring Scooter; a picture of Sally (Lab?) in Iowa whose cart is on the way; Oreo from Missouri got his cart yesterday; Bulldog Daphne from the Keystone State is getting a prototype front-leg-limited-mobility cart any day now; and, Sydney in Texas–limited mobility–her cart ships out Monday. So !

Hang in there, Gus, and thanks once more!

Done today

You da man, GusNSpot, you da man! You are awarded

New today: Video from Daisy (Black Lab?) who is getting a 4-wheeled cart soon (funded by the gofundme campaign); Cherri (Chihuahua mix?), from MD, on video, tearing up the sidewalk (So long, suckers, I’m outta here!)–looks like Cortney, her owner, can barely keep up! Be sure to catch the very end; and Trotter Boy is back with a nifty placard posted by his sponsor, pitties&purrs(.org) Rescue, Inc, who are also helping to get out the vote! Sweeeeeeet!

I do not feel right in the day until I vote for G

It’s good of you to keep plugging along, GusNSpot, thanks!

And thanks to the Mods for indulging our little venture. One more week!

Video of Emmett (St. Bernard?) from Washington state, taking his cart for a spin; Pix of Jordan (Boxer) who got her cart a few weeks back. Her owners were traveling through Wisconsin and they all stopped by Gunnar’s Wheels Foundation World Headquarters to meet Jason; and video update of Oreo (from Missouri) soloing his cart.

No problem.

I continue to vote.

And shockingly, on Sunday afternoon I came home and my doberman Drago seemed to be paralyzed in his hind end. I pulled a tick off him, so I’m thinking it’s tick paralysis. I called the vet Monday morning and they said if he seems to be getting better, and is eating, drinking and eliminating okay, I could wait and see. He seems a bit better each day, but My other doberman, Annie, has an appointment for tomorrow, so I may see if I can squeeze Drago in, too, unless he’s considerably better.

StG

Gus, StG, I continue to be thankful for your votes.

StG, how’s Drago doing? Had to research “Tick Paralysis.” Cripes, that’s insidious. Now I’m going to have to inspect my Border Collies every four minutes, 'cause they’re total mops. Keeping my fingers crossed for a total recovery.

Video of Harley having a rough go of it–cart is on the way, H; Before and after pix of Draxten from Michigan; and 2 pix from 12 YO Pennsylvania cutie Belle out for a stroll in her gofundme cart–ruptured spinal disc be damned!

burpo - Drago continues to improve. He’s still doing a pace instead of a normal walk, but he’s moving more on his own, and seems steadier. We’ll see what the vet says tomorrow.

Ticks on Zeus are hard to find. :frowning: He is observed a lot and I go after the places he chews when it is new action place. Regular hunting all warm times and Colleen has an Eagle eye for them. Got to watch the 7 kitties and each other.

Just had another mild winter so it is going to be a bad tick season around here. Hope Drago bounces back quickly. Good thunks headed his way…

& Bobs your uncle.

Voted again.

For any computer-shy readers we might have, I’d like to point out that I’ve been voting for two weeks now and each time it asks for an e-mail address – I haven’t received any spam at that address in that timeframe, I’m happy to report.

GusNSpot, thanks once more (Someone–I think it was silenus–earlier this week used a variation of “Bob’s your uncle,” that I can’t wait to use in public; looking forward to all the blank stares. “Robert’s your father’s brother.” Genius. :D:D)

Sailboat, thank you, as well, and thanks for pointing out the spam-free voting situation; I haven’t received any, either, other than the usual Home Depot, ebay and Cialis  crapola.

StG, if you’re checking in later, we’d appreciate a Drago/Annie update.
Pic from Colorado of Grendel (the Bull Mastiff) in his cart. Is that an impressive look for him, or what?
