Yeah, I answered “Def Leppard”, because I’m 50. And I’m much more familiar with “Veren zol fun dir a blintsa” from Al’s “Pretty Fly for a Rabbi” than Offspring’s song. I did finally track down the Offspring song, and thought Al’s rendition was better and tighter.

I’m pretty sure a recent study performed by The Rand corporation definitively showed that Def Leppard was and is the poserest “metal” band that has ever posered or metaled. Look it up. Don’t ask me for a cite cause I can’t be arsed.

I know the Offspring song, but never liked it enough to remember that it sampled Rock of Ages. Now that it’s been pointed out, it’s bothering me. This thread needs less Def Leppard hate and more Offspring hate.

“Self Esteem” is the only Offspring song I know, and it’s better than anything by Deff Leppard by miles.
