Didn’t get very good critic’s reviews, but I wasn’t expecting an Academy Award contender. Overall it was a fun beginning-of-summer action movie. It is definitely set up for a sequel or two. Not quite as good as Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes turn, but entertaining. I would watch the sequel if one is made.
I just saw it, and I would call this movie criminally underrated and overlooked! 9/10
I can’t believe I never even heard of this until my son told me about it, but judging from the lack of response to this thread it seems I’m not alone. I would have to think anyone who liked LotR movies or “Game of Thrones” would dig this if they were actually exposed to it. Bad deal from the critics, but they also must have done a poor job marketing it.
