what would happen if a guy took birth control pills meant for women?
We’d reduce our chances of getting pregnant.
He probably wouldn’t get pregnant
Er, uh, not to be misinterpreted. That was a joke. I didn’t mean to suggest that there would be a lower chance of getting HER pregnant. So don’t try to use that as a birth control method or anything.
Also, a baby would not start growing in his stomach.
Well, the last time I looked, birth control pills were made up of different combinations of the female hormones estrogen and progesterone, so I suppose that if a man started taking female hormones, he’d start to get rather–girly.
Plus he probably wouldn’t get pregnant.
Well, guys, you know what THAT means.
We feed them to someone and find out what happens!
A guy taking the Pill would get breasts.
Seriously, that’s what happens.
Corr
“And I’d never leave the house” --every guy I know
To supplement Corrvin’s response, taking birth control pills is one method trannies use to grow boobs.
I think transsexuals take heavier duty estrogen supplements than low-dose birth control pills.
They take what they can get, and often enough that has seemed to be birth control - this intelligence report is many years (20) out of date.
I’ve actually done this. When I was with my first girlfriend, we used almost no self-discipline or sense regarding safe sex and often went without a condom. This was before she went on the pill at the behest of her pharmacist father. Gee, the evening I fo und out about this was a nice and relaxing one at their house.
Anyway, a couple of times she ended up getting a script for Nordiol aka the morning after pill. It is essentially a full 28 day course of the full strength pill. Within 72 hours of unprotected sex, you take 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. I think the idea is that it prevents or disrupts the implantation of a fertilised egg.
Because it is a massive dose of hormones, it usually causes nausea and vomiting. The first time she took them, I spent hours in the toilet with her, wiping her forehead and apologising and I even promised we would be more careful next time and that I would take a course of them with her if we were ever so stupid again.
Well we were stupid… many times. So as a dvertised, I took a course with her the next time. However, we found that if you took the first 2 at night and then the next 2 the next morning, you could sleep through it. I guess that was how it worked but in any case I had no nausea or vomiting.
We ha ve long since split but I still have these maginficent soft, supple breasts on my chest to remember her by.
Mersavets, I know the breast part is a joke, but did you really take the morning after pill because she did? That is completely insane, in case you didn’t know. I respect your intentions, but I just hope you don’t end up having to have an abortion someday as a show of loyalty, too.
I had a TA in my introductory chem lab, he was an older guy who apparently had come back to school after spending his life in the chemical industry. He told us that he used to work at a company that was doing preliminary research on the birth control pill, and the janitors started to develop breasts from all the hormones in the dust around the labs. They had to start wearing hazmat-style suits and all that when they cleaned the labs.
Yes Jill, it’s true. Compared to the assortment of other chemicals I’d snorted, smoked, swallowed and poked up my arse, I thought something legally available held a lot less potential for harm. There really were no adverse side-effects (as far as I can tell) and although I probably wouldn’t do it again, I can’t say it became one of my greatest regrets.o
well, that got me thinking, if the guy developed breasts, would they eventualy shrink and go away if he didnt take the pills contantly?
And would he enjoy looking at them?
(A: no, but a lot of women seem to ask this at every opportunity)
