Guys: Bay Rum?

After having read about it for most of my life, I decided to order a bottle, and I must say, I like its properties very much.

It has many uses, but for me I guess it will be my after shave from now on.

I can’t really describe its aroma, only to tell you that it pleases me to smell it, and it smells a bit “woodsy” (for want of a better word) .

I am a guy who likes to smell good, and my aroma of choice heretofore has been JOOP®, but this is a very nice refreshing change.

Guys: Do any of y’all use it, and what is your opinion?

Ladies: Do any of your guys use it, and what do you think?

I use it after every shave. Many good brands, really difficult to go wrong, but I go with Dominica, about $15/bottle plus shipping. This stuff smells real good. The best brands require a real cork stopper, as I suspect that genuine bay leaf oil will burn the shit out of anything plastic.

Wait a minute! What am I doing to my face?

I just have to chime is as a grrl who also likes to wear Burt’s Bees Bay Rum.

Try chewing on your forearm. That’ll cure the habit. Bay Rum is one of those things that smell real good but taste real bad.

But, oh, that smell. It’ll get more than one sweet, young, female nipple rubbing up against you at the bar, accidentally, of course.

Tried it, but found it too lotiony and rather lacking in lasting power. Dominica hits you with a straight-on, astringent sting, and the scent sticks around for a long while. Just my opinion.

But the thought of a grrl wearing this scent is just too much for me to bear…
