But of course no one would eat the ketchup ice cream. Ketchup should be a sorbet!
I’ve eaten rose ice cream and strawberry-pepper, but no gravy, succotash, etc. Savory does not = yum in my ice cream book. However, Little Nemo have you thought of pizza ice cream?
I dunno. I do see the inner essence of pizza being transferable to an ice cream mileau. When I think about pizza, I think “piping hot” (I’m not a fan of cold pizza). I also don’t see how the crust would work of the layered effect of the toppings. I suppose you could make a tomato ice cream flavored with Italian herbs and throw in some cheese and pepperoni, but I think the final effect would be more “really godawful ice cream” rather than “pizza by Ben & Jerry”.
Speaking of B&J, back when they were still a couple of local boys running an ice cream shop in Vermont, they used to make a batch of beer ice cream every year.
Oops sorry. That was supposed to be “I do not see”.
And “crust would work or the layered effect”.
