So, I am sitting here looking at threads instead of working, and I get a craving for Hainanese Chicken Rice.
It’s a simple dish, and I know that I lack the chicken stock (which is the secret)…but I digress.
I don’t want to fly to Singapore to eat it (it’s where I first tasted it).
Where in California can I find it, lah?
There’s one in San Jose; it’s “Con Ga Nam An”, at 348 E. Santa Clara Street.
Here’s the yelp review.
I ate there once and really liked it, but I have nothing at all to compare it to. I can’t tell you if it’s great chicken rice or so-so chicken rice. But the yelpers seem to like it.
California’s a big state, but if you’re in the Bay Area, Straitshas it. I’ve had it, and it’s good, but I have nothing to compare it to.
