Hair Loss (when do you know?)

I am 35 with very thick hair that hasn’t receded an inch. This guy at work was saying that at my age that is a sign it’ll fall out fast.

But he is so thin in terms of hair he is bald for all purposes. I think he’s lyin’.

Anyway how old do you have to be when you can assume you will keep your hair (or most of it). Yeah I know nothing is 100%

Well, if you’re 35 with very thick hair that hasn’t receded an inch, that’s a pretty sure sign that your hair will fall out fast.

I know what I need to know
And
I know what I want to know

If you are 35 and have thick hair, you will likely stay that way. Your hair will thin over time the same way that women’s hair gets thinner.

I’m 36, and have been bald since my early 20’s. It bothered me until shaved heads became common, and I followed suit.

The long term studies were even more bizzare. Early death at 3-4 years post fallout. Amazing.

Hell… is there a way I can make my hair thin faster? (evenly) my hair is so thick at almost 28 that I feel like a mushroom head

Stay tuned for further adventures in this hair-razing story.

Thanx for the help guys now Mon when I go into work to show him up by using this site as a source I’ll be laughed at.

Anyone have any info I can use to defend myself for real

Search “Male patternm baldness”
That ought to convince you that we’re serious.

xxx take a look at your grandfolks pictures, that should be a clue. 70-80 years of age it might still be falling out.

Hey, I’m 41 and still have plenty of hair (albeit starting to gray in spots). OTOH, my 35-year-old brother is getting sparse up there. It’s genetics. Male hair loss is not a given as a guy gets older. For that matter, my father is 73 and has more hair than his 35-year-old son!

And what did that guy mean when he said it would fall out faster? Do you think it’s just going to drop off your noggin all at once and lie there in the shower like roadkill?

I heard a statistic once that said your hairloss will be similar to your paternal grandfather’s. Does that seem right?

The way it was explained to me is baldness is linked to your mom’s dad. So if your mom’s dad (maternal grandpa) was bald there is a good chance…that was what they told me back in grade 11 biochemistry.

BTW my mother has very thick, long hair, all of her brothers are balding (5 of them) her mom’s dad was bald.

I have tons of hair but not in the areas I used to. It takes my hair dresser of 15 years, 35 minutes to cut it.
