As far as horrifying post-Oscar careers go, ladies and gentlemen, Joan Crawford. There are certainly some good films post-Mildred Pierce on her resume but the crap-to-good ratio is about 5:1.

Halle Berry is already on record (Barbara Walters?) as saying she’s not looking to make great films. Intsead she want to “make lots of money.” I was surprising to hear that response (maybe that honesty), but I don’t it’s unusual.

You’re right, Carnac. In his memoir, “What’s It All About?”, Michael Caine wrote that he’s made some wretched films and observed that you get paid the same amount to appear in a bad movie as in a good one. Considering he grew up poor, he learned at an early age to take the money and run.

Allegedly. The only evidence I’ve seen to support the rumors are some stills in Hollywood Babylon II, hardly a reliable source.
