Adipocere is, in basic terms, when the fatty acid residue left over from the body’s decomposing adipose tissue turns into … well, wax. “Grave wax” it’s often called.

Maybe it’s the photograph (which is beautiful), but I didn’t think the adipocere was gross. She looks like a statue.
I find spiders a wee bit creepy but, on their own – individually – I don’t mind. However, a field full of them, in numbers significant enough to constitute seething masses, then I must take leave of my sanity. Just imagine walking into the middle of that field and lying down. Never mind the webs – you’ll be swarmed in seconds.
Although I do hate webs. Spider or no spider, if I walk face first into one, you’re gonna see me freak right the hell out. shudder
