If you had the mods change your username to something zombified or ghoulish or otherwise wacky for Halloween, your name should now be back to normal. I’ve emailed all users to notify them of these changes, but I’m posting it here as well just to make sure. Please email me or the webmaster if you have any problems logging back in.

Without a doubt. But even then it’s not so easy to see them all, connected with the real names.
That was fun! And I have a new-found appreciation for tasty, tasty brains. Just no craving anymore.

TubaDiva came up with the concept, and Marley23 figured out how to do it, and did most of the actual name-changing, etc… Kudos to both of them – it was a lot of fun!
So…a logistical thing that I found terribly easy on my end, but I wonder about it from the computerey end of things…I never had to log in with my Halloween name. I was logged in as WhyNot, and then got the email that it’d been changed to AliveNot, came back to the Dope, and was logged in as AliveNot already!
How did that work? Is that always the case when a username is changed? I expected to have to rack my braaaaaaaains for my password.
I loved every day of the zombie apocalypse. I was refering to it as a week long online halloween party 
So heaps of thanks to those who thought it up, managed it and played along. You all did something really difficult - you made me feel happy for an extended period of time.
Tapatalk completely freaked out about this. I ended up having to create a new account with my new user name! It was highly amusing.
As long as you remained logged in you didn’t have to worry about it. The cookies stored on your computer identified you my member number, not by name. If for any reason you logged out though you would have to log in again using the new name.
The same applies to regular name changes, not just Halloween names.
