I was going to put on my blue gown and a ton of makeup and be a Wicked stepsister. I might pile on jewelry as well. I just don’t have any earrings to wear.

At work today I’m the Higgs field, which gives mass to the fundamental particles. Basically I taped a bunch of index cards to myself with equations from the original Higgs mechanism papers… but the centerpiece of the costume is my bag of mass (a pillowcase filled with candy with mass written on the side). I’ve been going around the office giving mass to all my coworkers.
Tonight I’ll be a gardner because my daughters are going as flowers.
