Handicapped parking in Chicago garages?

My parents are in town, and we’d like to take the kids to Chicago on Sunday and get some dinner at the original Uno’s, 29 E. Ohio. I found a map that shows a parking garage on that same block, but I can’t find out if it includes handicapped parking stalls. (My mom suffered a stroke several years ago and uses a walker to get around, and she has a valid hanging permit from Florida that they bring with them on trips.) I assume there isn’t any discount on the price for handicapped stalls…

This one? I haven’t been there in ages, but you might try calling Interpark at the number given and asking.

Since the passage of the ADA, there’s pretty much no way you’d find any parking garage in downtown Chicago that has absolutely no handicapped spaces.

Most downtown restaurants have valet parking. You could call or email this location to see if they valet.

The parking garages in Chicago always have handicapped stalls (as far as I am aware, it would be illegal not to), but they will charge the same parking rates… which are pretty high.

My suggestion: figure out what ELSE you’re thinking of doing, and then make best determination. For instance, if you just want to drive along and see the sights from the car windows, and the only parking will be at the restaurant, then call the restaurant in advance and ask them about options.

An update: We managed to park in a handicapped stall in the garage on the corner of Grand and Wabash. $22, but the food was good.
