Isn’t she already? I seem to recall hearing her talking about her husband.
She’s still single, though she’s been romantically linked to several men over the years (and was apparently engaged at one point), so I imagine the reason has more to do with being a career woman rather then being a lesbian, as is often alleged.
An excellent short overview of the pros and cons of Romney’s potential running mates: Mitt Romney's Vice Presidential Pick: Signs Point To Risk Avoidance | HuffPost Latest News
Well, even in our day and age, sometimes the reason she still has it is because nobody ever asked for any of it.
Jon Stewart on “Of Vice and Men”:
I wonder if we’re looking at it the right way? Consider Obama’s considerable achievements: he got OBL, healthcare reform, and he’s managed to not only save America from a depression, but the economy is growing again. Romney is going to lose big time. So why would anyone want to be Romney’s VP nominee? How about someone looking for a swansong? Or someone looking for publicity for next time?
Were any of those men [ahem] . . . not in the habit of shaving?
Condi!!!
A gay, black, woman … that would make their heads spin wouldn’t it?
That, as the Pub running-mate, would make both parties’ heads spin, wouldn’t it?
I’d be willing to bet that the vast majority of Americans, both Republican and Democrats, don’t give two hoots about colour, sex, or sexuality.
The vast majority of Americans don’t vote, either.
How big a majority is “vast”?
. . . Have you ever been here?
I don’t dispute that racism in particular is present - the Dope has been an eye-opener there - but the problem with the silent majority is that it’s silent. Except the mere fact that America continues as a functional society speaks volumes.
“Don’t give two hoots” is not a thing you should infer from silence.
I have no idea what this means. Nazi Germany worked as a functional society until the rest of the world bombed the shit out of it. The Soviet Union made it for about 70 years. Haiti and North Korea are still puttering along somehow. And the Roman empire made was top of the heap for centuries, and they weren’t especially known for tolerance.
I see no connection whatsoever between racism or bigotry and a “functional” society. What are you getting at?
Jews & gays were (population-wise) insignificant minorities.
I haven’t seen the US Army used for internal suppression recently. And you have this little thing called Freedom of Speech. Unlike the Soviet Union. Unlike North Korea. Unlike the Roman Empire.
I’m not saying that racism, sexism, and homophobia aren’t problems. But I really think that the majority of people really don’t give two hoots about other people’s sex, colour, or sexuality.
You are mistaken. In America, Everybody’s a Little Racist Sometimes.
Yep … and your side will do all it can to encourage/report the head-spinning.
Just a tip, **What the… **, you might want to try make your partisan jabs comprehensible.
