Handicapping the time left until a "deal" is reached among the Democratic Candidates.

Not trying to be belligerent, but seeing that in view of the “crying” thing (which I agree wasn’t even crying, but the media played it up) is kind of funny.

Well, maybe not Vegas, but Ladbrokes in the UK has Obama at 1/4, Clinton at 11/4, and Al Gore at 25/1.

And in the spirit of that, I’ll point out that Clinton may be misreading her historical analogies. She might be the Newton Baker or the Stuart Symington of this election and Obama is the Franklin Roosevelt or the John Kennedy. There’s no reason to assume higher charisma equals lower competence. Obama might be both the more attractive and the more pragmatic candidate.

To be honest, this is one of the things that originally attracted me to Obama 2 years ago. I knew after his speech in 04’ he was going to do be somebody in Washington. After he decided to run for office and picked his team, I was thoroughly impressed with who he chose. He certainly is the pragmatic candidate, it’s sort of an extra added bonus to his fame that he is quite intelligent as well.

My wife and I were talking the other day about what his inaugural speech will sound like, and you can bet your bottom dollar it will be better than is “A More Perfect Union” Speech.
