Woman keeps yakking on her cell phone as she robs banks: linky.
Yikes.
How funny. I was just reading that story. In particular I loved this:
My god, what BALLS! “Yeah,yeah, here’s the gun here’s the note, hurry up with the cash. Can’t you see I’m on the phone?”
CNN is showing her photo. She won’t be walking around free much longer. I wonder if she’s got her lawyer’s phone number stored on the cell phone.
I’ve got to wonder who she’s talking to, and if that person knows what she’s doing. “Hi hon, yeah, I’m in the bank – I’ll swing by the supermarket next, do we need anything besides milk and catfood?”
That could never happen at MY bank. MY bank has a sign that says it’s rude to be on the phone while you’re at the teller window because that’s rude to the teller and other customers.
As a teller this article amuses me greatly. In every institution I’ve worked, tellers aren’t allowed to have more than 2500 in their top drawer (or if they operate like me, it’s the bare bones minimum to keep a till going, less than 1.5k). Multiply that by the 4 banks she’s hit, the grand total equals less than a lousy ten grand for a hefty sentence to jail. If you’re going to rob a bank, at least hold the place up and rob the safe too so that you can try and make bail. 
Yeah, you couldn’t ask for a clearer picture of her face. Somebody will get a reward. I can’t tell in that still, but on the CBS video tonight she even had sunglasses that she didn’t have over her eyes! How dumb.
The next new sign: Hang up and rob.
My guess is that she’s setting up her defense: The person she’s talking to is holding someone hostage until she completes the robbery.
Maybe she’s robbing the banks to pay her cell phone bill?
Those roaming charges have got to be killing her, as well as all those minutes…
