Has he quit killing folks since he began a relationship with Clarice Starling?
Yes, and he won’t start again until THomas Harris needs a new yacht.
Well, he’s at least got the deck chairs and slip rentals covered with the soon to be released prequel film and novel .
You know, I’d edit the OP to put in a spoiler tag (and a little space to keep if from showing up on the mouseover preview) except that the “spoiler” it reveals was from a book that doesn’t actually exist. I mean, there might have been some silly fanfic “slash” story with that plotline put up on somebody’s home page someplace, but certainly not an actual novel by Thomas Harris.
LA LA LA LA LA I can’t hear you! On top of Old Smokey, all covered with cheese! O say can you see! Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are!
Welcome to the world of the Aliens fan.
Highlander fans, too.
There should have been only one!
What? The answer to the question most certainly is in a book by Thomas Harris.
I just finished reading Hannibal,
and the inference is that Hannibal and Clarice, living as lovers in Argentina, regularly enjoy having their guests for dinner.
Nope. You’re wrong. Wrong wrong wrongily wrong. Never happened. Didn’t happen. Nope. No way, no how.
The stress of being a moderator…
Hannibal now kills only when necessary- and to avenge a childhood loss. No unnecessary killings.
And they are living happily ever after.
Until she hears a certain note.
Harborwolf and MEBuckner are right. The book does not exist, except in some people’s fevered imaginations.
That’s right. Doesn’t exist. Yep. Doesn’t exist.
It is admitedly a rather Penrodesque tome.
I’m clearly missing something here. What’s everyone on about?
Spoiler box so we don’t anger our overstressed Mod.
I believe it is because Dr. Lecter changes from antagonist to protagonist. He was the villian in the previous books and is, as it were, the hero of Hannibal.
Yeah, I rather feel like I’ve been under a rock too. What’s up?
What they’re saying is that “Hannibal” was bad. Really bad. So bad, they are pretending the bad sequel doesn’t exist so they can still like the good stuff that came first.
…Much like one is forced to do to continue to enjoy “Highlander,” “Aliens,” or my own contribution, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Gotcha. Thanks.
Why don’t some dopers including our illustrious Mod like the fanfic book?
Was it the protagonist?
