Hannibal v. Andy

I have lurked around the various forums for a while, and finally broke down and registered so I could post a question. I have been sitting here all day typing meeting minutes and keep thinking back to the recent Imperial Destroyer v. Enterprise debate. Why? Well, because I keep thinking of it in terms of “who would win…Hannibal Lechter v. Sheriff Andy Taylor.”

SO many scenarios, so many variables. I think I would have to give this one to Andy, but it would wind up being a Phyrric victory, ‘cause half the town would get eaten up or bad hurt in the almost certain crossfire. Poor ol’ Emma would be completely eviscerated, and Otis, too, right there in his cell. Probably one of the Darling boys would get just plain killed. Opie, though surviving the terror, would have bad dreams the rest of his life of what he saw when he walked into the barber shop. I imagine Andy would never be the same again, neither. Kind of like when the show went color.

Hannibal would win. And then, draining his glass of Chianti, he could echo Andy and intone, “Good Cracker.”

Oh, I’m sure Andy would taste just dandy, (IF he did in fact wind up on the pointy end of the fork) but I think that Dr. Lechter would be sorely disappointed that Chianti is impossible to find in the county (it being dry and all). He would have to make due with some of Rafe Hollister’s moonshine. Such a pity.

Make “DO,” not “due,” or “doo,” or “dieux.” Brain cloud, sorry.

Well, Hannibal would lose, but not because of Andy’s doings. Hannibal would fail to kill Barney 'cause he figures he can’t even make a meal out of him and Barney would accidently back over him with the police cruiser while trying to put a bullet in his gun.
